Getting ready for the 2001 Hesperia Days Parade.
Shaad is a 1985 registered Arabian gelding. He is a chestnut grandson of Comar
Bay Brummel. Shaad and Erin have been together since he was 8 months old
and she was 14. They have had many adventures throughout the years. Shaad
served for 5 years with the San Bernardino County Sherrif's Dept., Citizen's on
Patrol Equestrian Unit. This experience gave him a lot of exposure to all sorts of
scary, horse-eating things. He could walk up to a police car or motorcycle with
lights and sirens blaring, he could handle a helicopter landing nearby, he even
participated in 3 parades.
Shaad and Erin have new adventures now. They are taking dressage lessons
with USDF bronze medalist Corine Hill of Hill View Farms. Shaad also teaches
the occasional newcomer to ride and functions pretty well as our resident "teaser
gelding". Shaad has always been and always will be a part of the family and will
always be #1 in Erin's heart.
