Bud is a bay, old-type Morgan gelding who came to us in 1999. We were told he was
about 18 at that time. Bud was previously used as a lesson horse and we think he may
have been a showhorse at one time. Bud fits right in with the Friesians with his baroque
build and abundant hair.
Bud served for 3 years with the San Bernardino County Sherrif's Dept., Citizens on Patrol
Equestrian Unit. He experienced police cars and motorcycles with lights and sirens blaring,
helicopters landing, parades, you name it, Bud does it all with a calm, cool attitude!
We think Bud is about 23 now and he is still sound and healthy, still hitting the trails with no
problem. His newest job is teaching the youngsters around here. He is the perfect pony
horse and doesn't put up with any nonsense. He's also great for teaching inexperienced
people to ride, but turn him out loose and he turns into an NFR bucking bronc! Bud's
favorite food to eat is watermelon and he is very entertaining to watch when eating it!
