One Tree Hill Friesians

Bud was a bay, old-type Morgan gelding who came to us in 1999. We were told he was
a show horse at one time. Bud fit right in with the Friesians with his baroque
build and abundant hair.
Bud served for 3 years with the San Bernardino County Sherrif's Dept., Citizens on Patrol
Equestrian Unit. He experienced police cars and motorcycles with lights and sirens blaring,
helicopters landing, parades, you name it, Bud did it all with a calm, cool attitude!
At 23 he is was still sound and healthy and still hitting the trails with no problem. As the
calm cool guy he was, one of his jobs was teaching the youngsters around here. He was the
perfect pony horse and didn't put up with any nonsense. He was also great for teaching
inexperienced people to ride, but turn him out loose and he would turn into an NFR
bucking bronc! Bud's favorite food to eat was watermelon and he was very entertaining to
watch when eating it! Bud is missed dearly, rest in peace our friend.
